What should i do, downloading Calibre?

im getting a kindle and i heard you can donload calibre and get the books for free, i have a desktop PC and my internet browser is just internet explorer. what option should click out of all four, i dont have windows and my computeris a samsung. i wantit to put books on ereaders. ? please help
